Longhua District: Where Tech Gets Built

Longhua is Shenzhen's manufacturing and R&D backbone. This is where Huawei designed 5G, where Foxconn assembles millions of devices, and where the Guanlan Print Village preserves Hakka heritage amid high-tech industry. Less touristy than Nanshan, but essential for understanding how Shenzhen's tech ecosystem actually works at scale.

Getting to Longhua

Metro: Line 4 (Longhua Line) connects Futian CBD directly to Longhua. Qinghu Station for Huawei campus area, Guanlan Station for Print Village.

From Nanshan (tech tours): Metro Line 5 from Qianhai area → transfer at Shenzhen North → Line 4 to Longhua (40 min total).

From Hong Kong: HSR to Shenzhen North Station (Longhua district) takes 20 minutes from West Kowloon. This is actually the closest station to Huawei campus.

Note: Longhua is best as a half-day addition to a Nanshan-focused trip. The attractions are more spread out and less walkable than Nanshan's concentrated tech cluster.
